Javascript Programmers
This is a unique opportunity for programmers to join a strong small team of programmers in an innovative company providing software for the joinery industry.
The position will be based at our R&D office in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
Joinerysoft Ltd is a family company, which has been established for more than 5 years and is enjoying a period of rapid growth. As a result of this growth we are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic Javascript programmer to help develop our new joinery programme/language.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a good knowledge of Javascript and XML. A good knowledge of Maths in particular Geometry and Trigonometry is required. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate their working knowledge of programming and be capable of working to tight deadlines and at a high standard.
The Role:
-
help create Joinery items using Javascript and XML,
-
work closely with colleagues where required,
-
respond in a timely and efficient manner to any issues which may come to their attention,
-
attend regular team meetings,
-
provide regular feedback on work in progress to their Project Manager.
Essential Qualities:
-
experience of Javascript,
-
good knowledge and experience of using Trigonometry and Geometry,

analytical approach to problem solving,
-
well organised with good attention to detail,
-
capable of working under pressure and on own initiative.
Desirable Qualities:
-
knowledge of joinery is not essential but would be useful.

Python/Django/Javascript Web Developer

Joinerysoft Ltd is a dynamic and innovative technology company providing software products and services for the bespoke joinery industry based at our R&D office in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
Joinerysoft Ltd is a family company, which has been established for 5 years and is enjoying a period of rapid growth. As a result of this growth we are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic Python/Django/Javascript web developer to help develop our new software version.
This position is ideally suited to an enthusiastic individual who has strong coding ability with an understanding of how database driven websites work. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their working knowledge of current web technologies, development tools and be capable of working to tight deadlines and at a high standard.
The Role:
- Help develop and maintain our new Joinery Software (which is based on Django)
- Work closely with colleagues where required
- Respond in a timely and efficient manner to any issues, which may come to their attention
- Attend regular team meetings
- Provide regular feedback on work in progress to the Project Manager
Essential Qualities:
- Experience of HTML / CSS and an understanding of the principles of web design & HTML.
- Experience of SQL
- Good knowledge and experience of using Django and Python
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Well organised with good attention to detail.
- Capable of working under pressure and on own initiative
Desirable Qualities:
- C++ programming experience
- Strong knowledge of XML
Salary is depending on your experience

Chance of a Lifetime - Estimator
We are a leading manufacturer in Western Australia (Perth), producing a large range of high quality, timber products for the building and construction industry. Following the successful appointment of an Estimator in January 2011 we are now looking to expand further due to increasing production levels. We would like to appoint a second Estimator who will work with our existing estimator using our company's new software program (Joinerysoft).
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position will require the following responsibilities:
- To finalise all parameter settings in the computer program
- Complete all quoting in a timely and professional manner
- Interact with key stakeholders after the submission of quote to ensure success
- Basic IT skills
Ideally you will be a quick thinker, possess strong communication skills, and have an empathetic and emotionally intelligent nature. A background in quoting highly technical production items from plans would be advantageous, however not essential to this role. Experience with Joinerysoft is a must.
We are also looking for two 'well experienced, qualified' joiners.
