Hardware Requirements JMS Hardware Requirements

 

Note: We would recommend that you have broadband internet connection as this will help with any support issues and further software updates.

Minimum Requirement:

Windows XP or above with Internet Explorer 7 or above.  JMS will not run on windows 95/98/ME or NT4. The computer must have a spare USB port.

Vista/Windows 7 Requirements

Minimum Specification:

  • 2GHz dual core
  • 2GB of RAM
  • CD-ROM drive
  • 1GB of free disk space or more
  • Spare USB port
  • Wide screen resolution (1280x800) or higher (note a widescreen monitor with a height of 768 will work)
  • Any A4 windows printer (inkjet or laser)

Recommended Specification:

  • 2.8GHz Quad core processor / 6 core processor
  • 4GB or more GB of RAM
  • DVD writer for backups
  • 10GB of free disk space or more
  • Spare USB port
  • Screen resolution 1280x1024 or higher (note a widescreen monitor with a height of 768 will work)
  • A4 laser printer
  • Stand alone graphics card

XP Requirements

Note: As Microsoft will stop support of XP at the end of 2014 we will no longer support XP after that.

Minimum Specification:

  • 2GHz
  • 512MB of RAM
  • CD-ROM drive
  • 1GB of available space on hard disk
  • Spare USB port
  • 1280 x 800 resolution monitor or higher (note a widescreen monitor with a height of 768 will work)
  • Any A4 windows printer (inkjet or laser)

  • 2.5 GHz dual core or above
  • 2GB of RAM or more
  • DVD writer for backups
  • 2GB of available space on hard disk
  • Spare USB port
  • 1280 x 1024 resolution monitor or higher (note a widescreen monitor with a height of 768 will work)
  • A4 laser printer
  • Stand alone graphics card

JMS Server Requirements

Minimum Specification:

  • Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
  • 2.8 GHz Quad core processor / 6 core processor
  • 4 GB or more GB of RAM
  • 10 GB of hard disk space
  • There should be no other software resident upon the Server Computer

Recommended Computer Model:

  • HP Pro 3125 MT Desktop
