Second Joinerysoft Workshop on CE Marking well received by joiners

Another 60 joiners gathered at Stratford upon Avon to learn more about CE Marking at Joinerysoft’s technical workshop on 15th July 2013.

As well as learning about the liabilities that CE marking imposes upon joinery manufacturers including potential prosecution and fines for non-compliance, attendees also were able to see Joinerysoft’s Factory Production Control System (FPCS) in operation, showing how easy it can be to comply.

Joiners already using Joinerysoft’s Joinery Management Software (JMS) for quoting and manufacture of windows and doors were delighted that Joinerysoft provides everything they need in one package. At the workshop Joinerysoft Managing Director, Alan Turner, suggested that CE Marking was just the icing on the cake. He said, “The real power of JMS is in the ability to know your costs, so you can remain competitive in a tough market. Professional quotes and cutting lists generated automatically from initial design help win orders and improve efficiency within the workshop.” JMS has calculated u-values since building regulations changed in 2010. Alan adds, “The introduction of CE marking within JMS is a logical step for Joinerysoft as a market leader in software for the bespoke joinery industry”.

Providing feedback at the workshop, David Lennon of A Dee Kay commented, “JMS has recently won me an order to supply over 50 sliding sash windows. The JMS generated quotation that included diagrams of every window and u-values convinced the customer that we were a professional company. The customer was able to see that it was just as cost effective to replace the windows in their original style as it was to repair them, and would take vastly less time.” He adds, “At times it can be a struggle to win jobs but if you look more professional than the competition then that can make the difference in winning jobs. JMS provides me with that professional edge.”

Customer of Joinerysoft, Jamie of Rudd Joinery in Norfolk commented, “As a small firm I can really see the benefit of JMS. As well as making me compliant with CE legislation the new Factory Production Control System helps me to easily keep track of training completed by my joiners and reminds me when my machines need servicing with a visible schedule.” Tockwith Joinery based in York having just set up their FPCS added, “The CE marking took very little time to set up. Joinerysoft has made it very easy.”
