JMS Connect is a workplace companion app for JMSCloud, published by Joinerysoft Limited ("Joinerysoft", "we", "us"). It lets workshop operators sign in with their existing JMSCloud account, select a station, and start/stop time tracking against manufactured items using QR scanning or manual entry.
This policy explains what data the app handles and why. JMS Connect is provided to you through your employer's JMSCloud account. Your employer (the JMSCloud tenant) is the data controller for your work and identity data; Joinerysoft acts as a data processor on their behalf.
Account and identity data. When you sign in, the app sends your JMSCloud username and password over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to your organisation's JMSCloud server to authenticate you. The app does not store your password. On successful sign-in it stores a session token (JWT) encrypted on your device (Android Keystore on Android, the Keychain on iOS) so you stay signed in. Your username and the user identity returned by JMSCloud are used to attribute tracking activity to you.
Time-tracking data. When you start or stop tracking an item, the app sends the item reference, station/task tag, and timestamps to your organisation's JMSCloud server. This is the same work data that JMSCloud already records and belongs to your employer.
Camera. The app uses your device camera to scan QR codes. Scanning is performed on your device; camera images are not stored by the app and are not transmitted to us or to any third party. You can use manual code entry instead of the camera if you prefer.
Device storage. The app stores your selected tenant, station, and the encrypted session token on your device so it works smoothly and offline. This data stays on the device and is cleared when you sign out or uninstall the app.
Data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: to authenticate you, to keep you signed in, and to record time-tracking activity against your organisation's JMSCloud account. We do not use your data for any unrelated purpose.
The data you enter is sent only to your organisation's own JMSCloud environment. Joinerysoft processes this data on your employer's instructions as part of providing the JMSCloud service. We do not share it with other third parties except where required by law.
Data sent between the app and JMSCloud is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Session tokens are encrypted at rest on your device using the platform's secure key store.
Time-tracking and account records are retained within JMSCloud according to your organisation's settings and applicable law. Because accounts are provisioned and controlled by your employer, requests to access or delete your account or data should be made to your organisation's JMSCloud administrator, who can action them in JMSCloud. You can also contact us using the details below and we will assist the relevant administrator.
JMS Connect is a workplace tool intended for use by employees. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Depending on your location (for UK and EU users, under UK GDPR / GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. As your data is controlled by your employer, please direct such requests to your organisation's JMSCloud administrator in the first instance.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
